A small perfectly formed garden of different ‘rooms’ ranging from dry succulents to lush exotics. The garden is immaculately maintained and a joy to visit.
Lots to inspire and the nursery is excellent for herbaceous plants. The cafe is good too and all the staff are exceptionally friendly.
Beautiful garden with plenty to enjoy in a relatively small area. Excellent cafe, shop & plant sales. Friendly and helpful staff, most of whom seemed to be volunteers.
A nice interesting garden with cafe and shop. Also plant sales. The car park has good bicycle parking and reinforced grass parking for cars. The cafe, staffed by volunteers has attentive service and the food was good and reasonably priced. Nice gardens even on a cold overcast April day. Worth getting a season ticket and returning at different times of the year !
Visited the garden on 3rd September. Although it only has limited parking we had no problems finding a space. We were greeted at the entrance by a friendly and informative guide who gave us a brief overview of the gardens and amenities. As it was close to lunchtime the first stop was the cafe. This has a large seating both inside and in the garden. The food was good, we both had Paninies which were very good and at a good price. The facilities are spotlessly clean. You can visit the cafe without having to pay entry to the garden. The garden although is only 1 acre the design crams in so many small gardens and walkways it seems so much larger. The planting and hard landscaping is wonderful and is well worth the visit. Price is £7 which is very reasonable and even better is part of the gardeners world 2 for 1 ticket offer. The annual price is also a very cheap option at only .£30. There is also a shop and also plant sales again at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend a visit
Very beautiful garden with a lot to see. Just that the entry fee is £7 pp. The glory of gardening: hands in the dirt, head in the sun, heart with nature. To nurture a garden is to feed not just the body, but the soul. – Alfred Austin
A gem of a place will be returning as didn't give myself long enough to walk round and admire all the plant species nor see the meadow. Gorgeously set out, with a map to follow, cafe for refreshments and plants to buy on the way out!
An oasis of tranquility on the outskirts of Leeds. A small garden consisting of rooms, each with its own unique theme. It definitely has a quirky atmosphere about it. The recently refurbished cafe offers an excellent menu, both breakfast …
Absolutely beautiful garden, spent a lovely chilled few hours with mum wandering round and having a tasty light lunch at the cafe. All staff were so friendly & helpful. The paths are, by design, a little uneven, so mum had to take it slow, but there are plenty of seats dotted round to rest and take in the gorgeous vistas.
